Description

The FIFA World Cup provided the perfect opportunity to explore more faces. 

The full color portraits honor the established legends and a couple of younger stars (Mbappé and Vinícius Jr). These were the focal points of the main piece. I produced this piece before the tournament. Each portrait began with observational sketches and reference gathering before being refined digitally in Procreate. As the tournament went on I fell in love with more players. These other portraits relied on line strength and texture to capture their indivdual energy. From left to right:
